A Caregiver’s Story (CGS) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization launched by America’s Caregiver Empowerment Strategist,™  author Carolyn A. Brent, MBA.

The mission of Caregiver’s Story is to provide caregivers with the knowledge of living a Life of Health, Wellness & Fitness NOW!  And recognizing the importance of families having “Essential Conversations” in preparation for the end-of-life issues they may face, so that instead of being torn apart, they can come together as a strong family unit.

CGS inspires and motivates audiences from all walks and in various stages of life regarding end-of-life issues. —Whether it’s in a church or corporate setting, speaking to families, adult siblings, singles, women’s groups, men’s groups, hospices, long-term care, assisted living, and senior organizations.

We are dedicated to educating and empowering caregivers, caretakers, and care providers whose work is vital for the welfare of sick and disabled people.  In addition, CGS provides pertinent information that will enrich and support the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of the caregivers.

A Caregiver’s Story is a labor of love. An endeavor of this magnitude requires an enormous amount of commitment, time, and resources to operate to its full potential. That is why, from the bottom of my heart, I am asking for your support. We need you to make our work possible. Your contribution enables us to help families avoid conflict at a time of grieving and loss. By empowering families with knowledge and strategies on how to prepare for end-of-life issues, you give them the resources they need to work together for the good of everyone.

We need your support more than ever before—no matter the AMOUNT!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”–Hosea 4:6

Grandpa’s Dream (GPD) is designed to help the caregivers/care providers avoid tragic experiences that could possibly occur during their season of helping others.

“To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” –Ecclesiastes 3:1

GPD shows caring for the sick is the act of love, sharing, and giving. It is not meant for the individuals who are self-serving, waiting for an inheritance at the cost of destroying the one and only person caring for the sick family member.

“Lay not wait, O wicked [man], against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place” –Proverbs 24:15

GPD is for the committed caregivers/care providers who are anointed to care for the sick, give of one’s self, and care out of LOVE.

”And I will raise me up a faithful priest, [that] shall do according to [that] which [is] in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.” –1 Samuel 2:35

GPD will help the caregiver/care provider through protecting themselves by using the legal, financial, physical and spiritual resources available:

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” –2 Corinthians 5:7
